My Black and Blue Blog blog was originally created by me when I published the Almaden Cycle Touring Club (ACTC) newsletter the Black and Blue Bottom. It was used to aid in the production that newsletter. Now, it is just used to present views and content related to ACTC.

I think we might want to institute a system of "service miles" (or "smiles") so that volunteers get mileage credits for contributing to the club. The current system could then keep track of these "smiles" and awards could be given to folks who attain certain numbers of "smiles". That way prolific volunteers would get recognized too! ~Steve Sloan
The foundation for this club is our volunteers. Do we recognize them enough? What can the club do to show our appreciation?
